Everyone loves Pinterest! Here are my favorite picks from my July perusals of Pinterest. All these articles were found on Pinterest and can be found on one of my boards. Clicking on the image will bring you directly to the article. All images have been copied from the original pin and are not my own.
Benjamin Hardy posts regularly on Medium and he’s a great inspiration to me. He’s all about pushing yourself to be the best you possible. Something I’m working on in my own life, both personal and professional. I thought this post was a great addition to the planner pages I keep sharing in my #authortoolbox posts.
He also has a blog and two free eBooks for you there. He’s definitely worth checking out.
Benjamin Hardy is inspired by Derek Sivers and his simple approach to life. I am too. In this great article he explains that he never says yes to anything. I’m working on it. But in the spirit of goal setting it seemed appropriate.
If you’re over-committed can you apply Derek’s rule and change that? Tell me about it in the comments.
In the spirit of setting goals again I read this article this week about writing 200 blog posts in 200 days and I felt like it could be applied to writing exercises as well. I don’t need to write 200 blog posts, or 200 stories but it’s a great way to harness your imagination and creativity for yourself. And I intend to put this one to use.
If you haven’t found your author voice, or you’re still learning to focus it, this is a great info-graphic of many different authors opinions on how to do just that.
Finally, since my pinterest pics all seem goal oriented and my #authortoolbox is about self-care there’s this great bucket list of 50 things to do by yourself. I’m not saying I’m a hermit but I might play one in my mind. I’m always looking for great things to do alone, some time to just chill and not have to make conversation. Here’s fifty of them.
