I open my eyes, clawing at the contraption on my head. It falls to the floor with a clank, but nobody flinches, nobody blinks. They’re all too busy staring at me.
Instinctively, I back away. The crowd parts for me, and I duck behind a bot-charging station, because I have to get away from their looks. I have to get away from their eyes.
“That boy’s going to kill you,” the guy closest to me chokes out.

Today I’m reviewing Seize Today by Pintip Dunn.
Pintip Dunn’s covers are always such artwork. I mean, I might buy the book just to own the cover. Do they tell me what to expect? Well, they tell me to expect a work of art inside that matches the one outside. And that is exactly what you’ll find in Seize Today.
Okay, it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Pintip Dunn’s Forget Tomorrow series. I won the first book in a giveaway and now I haunt her website and Amazon page while I wait for the next one to come out. I literally cheered out loud when I found this one had been released! And then made room in my busy read/review schedule for it. I mean, it’s not hard to gobble up a YA book that won’t let you put it down anyway. Seize Today lasted me three days. Three short days!
Pintip, we need to talk about either book length, or how often you publish… I need more!
The Forget Tomorrow series doesn’t follow a single main character through a story, it starts with Callie, in Forget Tomorrow, where Callie receives a future memory that she doesn’t want and will send her to jail for life. Instead she runs for her life, and the life of her sister.
The next book, Remember Yesterday, picks up the story with Jessa, Callie’s younger sister who must make the difficult choice to defend her family and loved ones, or side with the enemy and fight from the inside.
Seize Today, once again shifts characters to the silent, meek and self-effacing Olivia. Jessa is her best friend, but it might only be because she doesn’t have other friends. After all, who wants to be friends with a precognitive when the world is falling apart? A precognitive who’s mother is the chairwoman bent on destroying the world?
I think I love Olivia’s story most of all, but that might be because it’s freshest in my mind. In truth they are all great stories about an amazing dystopian world where future memory determines everything about you and can’t be changed. Or can it?
If you haven’t read the first ones in this series, definitely start there- otherwise here’s your next obsession.
All of the Forget Tomorrow series can be found on Amazon in Kindle, paperbacks and hardcover.
Thanks for stopping by.
The Mania is so much more fun with friends.
