“Kiku growled under her breath and stormed off the bridge in anger. Damn him anyway! It wasn’t fair! This was supposed to be her gods-be-damned Origins World.”

Today I’m reviewing Manor Town (Chronicles of the Garlon T’zen Book 1) by Kyleen Valleaux.
Manor Town is a futuristic space opera with a romantic twist. Probably why I liked it so much. I cut my scifi teeth on Star Trek and Star Wars, and who doesn’t love a good romance? On top of that Valleaux has written the dialogue with a Japanese flavor, adding my love of anime and manga to the mix! Where could this go wrong?
The Garlon T’Zen have stepped in to protect the weaker planets in the galaxy from the evil forces that would take over and enslave them, but that doesn’t mean they’re always welcome. They are also watching for the prophecy to be fulfilled, but will the love Kiku and Leader Dessalen feel for each other get in the way?
I’ll never tell! You’ll have to read it to find out. But don’t worry. You’ll love reading it.
I enjoyed reading Manor Town. It has a strong female protagonist who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to take it, even when the people trying to protect her think she’d be better off without. She steps up and protects the weak around her without question, always wanting the best for them. But she’s also soft and vulnerable with the one she loves. The one question she can’t answer for herself is whether or not their love is good for her.
Manor Town (Chronicles of the Garlon T’zen Book 1) is available at your favorite book seller, look for it. On Amazon it is available as a Kindle for $2.99 and in paperback for $12.99.
