Hello, Manic Followers!
I’ve been working on my author platform this year, making friends on Twitter, and Facebook and developing ideas for this blog, The Manic Writer. I’ve learned a lot and met some really nice people. I’m a sleepy-eyed member of the #5amwritersclub on Twitter where I go to write every morning, Mon thru Fri, with my fellow authors. I try to participate in the many word games on Twitter but life has been busy and I don’t always have time. I’m also trying to be more proactive in posting events and updates to my author page on Facebook.
My writing this year had a slow start but when it took off it was with a vengeance. I finished a WIP (work in progress) called An Amethyst in the Rough this past fall. My critique group is working their way through it demanding more description and more depth which I am working in with my revisions. I’m planning on being done with it this spring which is when I’ll reveal it and consider my publishing options.
I’ve been reading as often as I can. My reviews are posted on Amazon and GoodReads where you can follow or friend me. I’ll also be working on putting them up here with links to the books. I try to read about fifteen hours a week but don’t always manage it. I hope you enjoy my reviews, they are always short and sweet. Please consider supporting the indie authors I review by purchasing and reviewing their books also.
I’ve also started a series called Divorced White Female and built a website especially for it. You can subscribe for updates here. It will go up there, a chapter a week until the series is done. I currently have the first two books completed and in revision, a third outlined and plot ideas laid out for a fourth. I wrote the first two during NaNoWriMo and hit a total of 56K Words doing so. On Friday I’ll reveal the cover and synopsis to my followers. The blog will be published next week for you to see. Don’t forget to subscribe!
Divorced White Female: Back in the Game (book 1) is meant to be a slice of life women’s fiction. Each chapter will be a short 15-20 minute read that can be fit in wherever you find a free moment.
I’m so excited for this debut web novel and I hope you are too! Be sure to subscribe to Divorced White Female.
Until next time!
P.S. Don’t forget to review Indie Authors! It doesn’t have to be long but reviews make an Indie authors day and it helps their career along too! Love an Indie, Leave a review!
